MACHINEGUN SITS IN WITH THE HOWLING DIABLOS

Tino Gross of The Howling Diablo’s, (featuring the one and only Johnny “Bee” Badanjek on drums), asked if I would sit in on drums for Detroit Rock blogger/promoter Kim Maki’s (retrokimmer.com-- Detroit Rock and Roll Magazine), Birthday Bash at P J’s Lager House in Detroit on 2/7/15… Hell yes!

We did, “Go Gene Go”, a tribute tune to Gene Krupa that lasted about 11 minutes or so. We chose to keep going because we were having so much fun.

Johnny and I finally had a chance to play together again. I was most pleased. After all, I studied and stole his licks when I was seventeen. Thanks Bee. Thanks everybody in the band! Mo Hollis, Johnny Evans, Eric Gustafson

YouTube it at: “The Howling Diablos and Machine Gun Thompson.” A whole lot of blistering drumming, sax, bass, guitar, and vocals going on here and great fun was had by all!

Happy Birthday to Kimmer and thanks for setting this up along with photos and video... -D
